Фронтальный удар:
При лобовом столкновении за уровень защиты водителя CX-7 получил максимальные пять звезд. Столько же звезд автомобиль получил и за защиту переднего пассажира. При этом голова пассажира находится в большей безопасности, чем голова водителя. Нагрузка на грудные клетки водителя и переднего пассажира во время столкновения была одинакова. А уровень защиты бедер оказался лучше у водителя.

Боковой удар:
При боковом столкновении в большей безопасности оказываются водитель и передний пассажир - максимальные 5 звезд. Но и уровень безопасности задних пассажиров тоже оценен на 5 звезд, а их бедра защищены даже лучше, чем у людей, сидящих впереди.

Устойчивость к опрокидыванию:
Во время теста на опрокидывание автомобиль был "обут" в покрышки 235/60 R18. И переднеприводная, и полноприводная версии CX-7 получили по 4 звезды (из 5 максимальных). Шансы к опрокидыванию в обоих случаях составили 14% (для 5 звезд этот показатель должен быть ниже 10%).
